South Ogden is an established community and understands that future growth and change will come in the form of redevelopment. As such, the focus of the General Plan update for the city is to ensure the plan reflects the community’s ideas for how to leverage redevelopment to catalyze areas of the city while ensuring negative impacts are minimized. One area of specific interest and concern is how redevelopment will impact the city’s current affordable housing stock. Using Urban Footprint scenario software, we will be able to link potential alternatives to impacts.

FFKR is working with South Ogden City to confirm the vision and values of the community and translate these into creative strategies and initiatives related to housing. A new framework for the General Plan will be created that highlights key strategies and initiatives in a more streamlined, user-friendly format.
