Regent Street is a recently improved pedestrian-oriented street connecting the Gallivan Plaza with the City Creek Center. The west side of the street is anchored by the newly completed Eccles Theater and 111 Main office tower. The east side of the street is anchored by the Regent Street Garage and the 40 East office building.
The renovations of the Regent Street Garage include façade modification to 540 linear feet of the 10 story parking structure, along with upgrades to all the elevator lobbies, 9,019 square feet of office space, and 25,096 square feet of retail/restaurant tenant space. The garage helix was redirected to exit to a side street to improve the pedestrian experience of Regent Street.
40 East Building
The renovations of the 40 East building include façade modification to 450 linear feet of the 3 story office building, 6,732 square feet of sidewalk level retail/restaurant tenant space. Solid walls at street level were opened with glass to improve the connection with the sidewalk. The north sidewalk and street were replaced to create areas for outdoor dining and improved pedestrian sidewalks and vehicle parking.
Regent Street Parking
The parking lot between these two structures was filled in with a new building of 1,368 square feet retail/restaurant space to maintain the building face along the sidewalk.
Pedestrian Experience
Awnings were added across the facade of all these buildings to unite them as a complex and to improve the pedestrian experience walking along Regent Street.
