Nestled on a hillside on Shadow Mountain, Tapatio Cliffs needed a fresh room update to replicate throughout the resort. Tapatio Cliffs offer guests the best views in Phoenix and feels like a tropical resort, so designing a signature look for guest rooms that promises an experience as splendid as the views were a challenge in balancing elements in harmony. A key design objective was to seamlessly tie in updated guest rooms with the resorts exterior warm colors. FFKR’s team used contrasting, complementary colors leaning toward a neutral, soothing mood, with subtle Moorish lines. The carpeting and fabrics selected enliven the spaces, and wooden shutters add a wonderful resort-like aesthetic and subtle noise insulation. Upgraded bedroom headboards and lighting personalizes rooms and adds a warm, human feel. Lightened wall and tile textures offer an effect of elegance and serenity on a scale in keeping with the resort’s promise to guests.
